Frequently Asked Questions

What are some of the symptoms of career Burnout?

Here are the top Signs of Burnout I see in clients...

Disconnection: You begin to isolate yourself from those around you, turning inward. Socializing becomes unappealing, and you may engage in unhealthy behaviors. Isolation can trigger stress responses, resulting in high blood pressure, low energy, weight gain, and ultimately, diseases. Furthermore, it can harm your relationships

New Study: Loneliness is as bad for your body as smoking 15 cigarettes.

Emotional Exhaustion: You find yourself easily bothered or agitated by small things, more than usual. This indicates the need for addressing underlying issues and can lead to heightened cynicism and anger, sometimes causing a complete disengagement from life.

Feeling Numb: Pleasure seems elusive in simple, everyday activities. You become lethargic and disinterested in things you once enjoyed.

Lack of Creativity: You struggle to solve problems at work, leading to decreased productivity. This difficulty may extend to handling everyday domestic affairs at home.

Procrastination: Despite knowing what needs to be done, you hesitate to take action. Overwhelming or excessive options can result in 'shutting down,' making it challenging to make decisions or act.

Self-Care Disappears: Unhealthy habits start to take over; fast or comfort food becomes more frequent. Physical activity diminishes, and you spend more time on the couch in front of the TV. Basic routines and healthy practices are neglected or disregarded.

Physical Exhaustion: You lack energy for your loved ones, hobbies, or work. This state is often described as being 'Tired and Wired,' where the body feels tired, but the mind races. This can disrupt your sleep, leading to 'Brain Fog,' a mental haziness. You may lose self-awareness and intensify your efforts, further accelerating burnout.

Who does Anthony work with?

My primary clientele consists of entrepreneurial men who are either experiencing or recovering from career burnout. In addition to assisting business owners, I have successfully guided executive-level clients through the transition from corporate employees to becoming their own bosses. The individuals I work with encompass a wide spectrum, ranging from creative professionals such as artists, producers, and actors, to traditional small business owners, information technology and healthcare professionals, as well as various remote workers and digital nomads.

What’s the benefit of coaching? What’s a session like?

I view coaching sessions as a sacred time for my clients. It's an opportunity to devote our full attention to them and their projects, providing clarity on the challenges they face. Sometimes, it involves addressing mindset and how they're processing the situation mentally. Other times, it focuses on motivation and staying on track with their aspirations. On other occasions we delve into strategy, finding solutions to specific business challenges. And there are sessions that cover all of the above.

One invaluable benefit that every client enjoys is having a thinking partner to help them navigate their thoughts and reach the much-needed next step. Thanks to Zoom, this can all be accomplished conveniently from the comfort of your home or office. To gain insight from a client's perspective, please take a look at the testimonials on the reviews page.

Can I really see results in a 60-minute session?

It's entirely possible to gain valuable insights and experience significant breakthroughs in as little as 30 minutes. My clients choose to work with me because they seek someone with both life and business experience, coupled with training in the art of asking compelling questions. This unique combination helps them break free from their mental barriers and find the answers they're seeking quickly and with clarity.

What’s the difference between coaching & therapy?

While therapy delves into the past to address past traumas, coaching primarily focuses on the future. Coaching involves creating a vision based on your values and devising a strategic plan to turn that vision into reality. While my coaching does include an examination of certain past events to uncover underlying negative patterns, it does not ‘diagnose and treat’ clients and thus does not reach the depth of traditional therapy.

The primary similarity between my coaching and therapy is the level of confidentiality observed during Converge 1-on-1 sessions. Client-coach confidentiality is held in the same high regard as doctor-patient confidentiality in therapy.

Why should I work with Anthony?

I'll be candid; I'm not particularly fond of the word 'should.' However, as a coach who has had the privilege of being coached by over 30 different mentors, teachers, and counselors during the past two decades, regardless of the type of coach, it's essential to consider a few key factors when selecting one.

Firstly, you should choose a coach who has achieved the results you desire in your own life. They should actively engaged with their own mentors and coaches, showcasing their ongoing commitment to personal growth. Furthermore, they should be able to provide tangible evidence of success to their clients. Most importantly, your coach should be someone with whom you can work and communicate openly and effectively.
